Abu Daud 32.4067:
Narrated Ali ibn Rukanah:Ali quoting his father said: Rukanah wrestled with the Prophet (peace_be_upon_him) and the Prophet (peace_be_upon_him) threw him on the ground. Rukanah said: I heard the Prophet (peace_be_upon_him) say: The difference between us and the polytheists (musyrikun) is that we wear turbans over caps.
1. Di Serambi Mekah, kelihatan ramai juga yang berserban merah satu hasta berkumpul baru-baru ini. Yang lilit di kopiah, lilit di kepala atau gantung di leher macam YB Husam (tapi saya tak fikir dia musyrikun. Dia TAKUT melakukan bidaah kot!)). Almenantuya pun berserban merah We Luv TG. Meriah bro. Nampaknya dah mula ada serban bermesej cinta... This is innovation! Di zaman Rasullullah, tak pernah pula saya dengar para sahabat memakai serban bertulis We Luv Rasullullah!
Abu Daud 40.4590:
Narrated Irbad ibn Sariyah:
AbdurRahman ibn Amr as-Sulami and Hujr ibn Hujr said: We came to Irbad ibn Sariyah who was among those about whom the following verse was revealed: "Nor (is there blame) on those who come to thee to be provided with mounts, and when thou saidst: "I can find no mounts for you."
We greeted him and said: We have come to see you to give healing and obtain benefit from you.
Al-Irbad said: One day the Apostle of Allah (peace_be_upon_him) led us in prayer, then faced us and gave us a lengthy exhortation at which the eyes shed tears and the hearts were afraid.
A man said: Apostle of Allah! It seems as if it were a farewell exhortation, so what injunction do you give us?
He then said: I enjoin you to fear Allah, and to hear and obey even if it be an Abyssinian slave, for those of you who live after me will see great disagreement. You must then follow my sunnah and that of the rightly-guided caliphs. Hold to it and stick fast to it. Avoid novelties, for every novelty is an innovation, and every innovation is an error.

Di Google terdapat banyak juga entry serban merah. Antaranya Pemberontakan Serban Merah, Misteri Kumpulan Serban Merah, Melawan Sheikh Serban Merah, dll..3. Kot-kot nanti muncul pula serban dacing dan serban hijau dengan alqamr. (Dulu umat AlArqam yang gemar memakai serban hijau. Sampai orang lain takut nak pakai serban hijau dan dicap sesat!) Almaklumlah haji VVIP pun dah boleh disponsor. Serban tentulah boleh. Kain batik dan pelikat dah biasa sangat.
Saya pun pernah hadiah rakan-rakan dan kerabat serban yang dibeli di Medinah. Pernah juga menerima serban berwarna-warna sewaktu memegang jawatan kecil setahun lalu. Tapi taklah sampai 65K seserban rasanya. Masih elok dalam plastik bersama tasbih di pejabat. Kopiahnya baru saya pakai Jumaat lalu setelah saya tidak memegang jawatan. Elok pula saya terserampak dengan Wan Nudin sponsor serban, kopiah dan tasbih itu sewaktu keluar masjid. Tak ingat pula apakah nombor plet Camry Wan Nudin. Rasanya bukanlah 100. Wan Nudin kontraktor kelas DS53. Saya tidak terlibat dengan sebarang pemberian kontrak.
4. Dah lama juga saya terfikir kalau Nike, YSL, Bonia dll keluarkan kopiah dan serban lagi canggih kot. Batik dan tudung YSL dan Fendi dah memang berlambak!
5. Mungkin juga boleh keluar serban jenama Tok Guru! Akan berebutlah umat PAS beli.
